Job Description

We are seeking a System Administrator Intern to support our IT Infrastructure in managing general system administrator duties, but also in assisting devops activities.

The ideal candidate must possess strong problem solving skills, a high degree of initiative and a commitment to exceptional customer service and teamwork.

Missions 🏆

Duties for the position include the following:

  • Administer our computer park as a whole with our MDM (user laptops with OSX, Linux and Windows)
  • Provide level 1-2 IT support for all Pelicans (onsite or in remote)
  • Manager IT infrastructure: servers, storage, hypervisors (Proxmox), backups (PBS), network, firewalls (PfSense)
  • Administer of services made available to users: messaging, Identity provider, business applications, file sharing, landline and mobile telephony
  • Assist in creating processes and procedures for IT Operations, and keep all documentation up to date
  • Maintain IT infrastructure in operational condition
  • Manage and realize mini-projects of IT evolution
  • Support updating applications in Docker containers
  • Review IT Systems against Security Technical Implementation Guides and resolve issues
  • Administer Linux Servers and SaaS services (Google workspace, Office 365, Jumpcloud, Bitdefender …)
  • Educate users and ensure proper compliance with the IT security policy

Preferred Experience

Requirements 🎯

  • Preparing a Degree in Computer Sciences & having basic knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures in at least one of the following fields: Computer Systems, Information Technology, Operating Systems.
  • Ability to work well with cross-functional teams
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills in English, French is a plus.
  • Demonstrated self-motivation and ability to work independently
  • Previous work experience not required but helpful
